Sharron Kay Trettin, age 89, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in the care of Ebeid Hospice. Born on September 9, 1935, in Fostoria, Ohio, Sharron was the daughter of Ralph and Ann (Kelbley) Coon. She was a proud 1953 graduate of St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, and she later worked in sales at the Lion Store, where she enjoyed helping others.
On November 17, 1969, Sharron married Robert "Bob" H. Trettin, and together they shared a loving and joyful marriage. After Bob's passing, Sharron found solace in her many cherished memories with him, including their winters spent in Georgia and summers at Pirolli Park in Petersburg, Michigan, where she built lasting friendships.
In her spare time, Sharron was an accomplished seamstress and crocheter, making Afghan blankets, booties, hats, and baby coats with a loving touch. She had an eye for art, enjoying sketching and spending hours creating beautiful pieces. Her love of travel took her to many places, and she relished exploring craft shows and antique outlets. She loved to share the joy of homemade recipes, especially her sweet potatoes, with her grandchildren.
Her family and friends will remember her for her warmth, kindness, and the unshakable support she gave to those she loved. A devoted mother and grandmother, Sharron made the most of every family gathering and cherished the time spent with her loved ones. Her signature resilience, persistence, and tenacity were reflected in everything she did, whether in raising her children or making sure no detail was overlooked when creating a beautiful piece of clothing for her kids.
Sharron is survived by her children, Sandra Trettin, Thomas "Tom" (Kristi) Meredith, Tina Zeiter, and Keith Meredith; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert H. Trettin; her parents; her sister, Rita Sabin; and her great-grandson, baby Dahari.
