Sharon Alice Zeh

Sharon Alice Zeh, 72 of Maumee, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 while in Texas with her family. She was born on January 9, 1944 in Toledo to Cornell Willard and Eloise Rose (Bailey) Gray and she married Robert E. Zeh on December 4, 1965 also in Toledo. Sharon was a part of the Springfield Township community for over 50 years. She drove bus for Springfield Schools for almost 30 years before retiring in 2005. Sharon was a member of the Strawberry Homecoming Association and helped plan the community Strawberry Festival. She had a passion and love for horses, which she and her husband shared and was the president of the Springvalley Saddle Club and a member of the Lucas County Saddle Club. As a child Sharon loved to visit her Aunt Gladys and Uncle Ben in the Irish Hills, Michigan and ride and play with the work horses. She also liked spending time outdoors and belonged to the Northwest Ohio Snowmobile Club. Along with her family she also enjoyed camping and traveling, especially on cruises, Disney World and out West. Sharon was a member of the Eagles of Maumee as well as Sassy Lassies too Chapter of the Red Hat Society. Sharon had a great artist talent and enjoyed ceramics. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Zeh; children, Teresa (Raymond) Roller and Robert E. Zeh, II; siblings, Dolly (Douglas) Lybarger, Suzanne (Richard) Murphy and John Gray. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornell and Eloise and grandparents, Fred and Ida Bailey. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43537 (419-865-8879). Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Maumee Valley Church, 8715 Garden Rd, Maumee, Ohio 43537. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Toledo Area Humane Society.
