Sharon Lynn (Morton) Wozniak, age 77 (Toledo, OH) - In Loving Memory
With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved mom, wife, sister, and grannie. Sharon departed this world on Monday, February 12. Sharon bravely fought a year long battle against cancer.
Born on April 4, 1946, Sharon brought warmth and compassion into the lives of everyone she touched. As a devoted mother, wife, sister, and grandmother, she exemplified steadfast dedication and endless love. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance enriched the lives of her family and friends.
Sharon will be remembered for always being there for people. She was selfless, smart, kind, lover of animals, a friend, loved to talk and most importantly the best mom, wife, sister and grannie to her family. She loved the game of scrabble, words with friends, making snickerdoodles (her daughters requested them often), crafting with Kate, hanging with her family/friends, and their little dog London.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years Jack Wozniak, daughters Amy Tanner (David Tanner), Tara Wozniak (Mike Rochford), sister Karen Sunderland and grandchildren Kate, Jack, Erin and Elizabeth (Evan). Sharon Blalock (sister-in-law) and Terry Wozniak (Karen) (brother-in-law). She is preceded in death by her father Stan and mother Louise Morton as well as Jack’s mother and father, Wallace Wozniak and Marie Miskow.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Saturday, February 24 at Walker’s funeral home in Maumee, OH. Visitation will be held from 11 AM-1 PM with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to charity of donor’s choice in care of Sharon Woz.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Sharon's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will be cherished and her legacy celebrated, as we strive to embody the love and kindness she shared with us all. From her daughters, they will be waiting to hear “Hi Honey” once we meet again.
Rest in Peace, dear Sharon (Mom). You will be deeply missed, but your love will continue to shine brightly in our lives forevermore.
