Sharon Stec, age 63, joined her Savior on Monday, December 15, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg with her husband at her side. Sharon was born in Youngsville, PA on February 6, 1945 to Henry and Gertrude Vogt DeVore. Sharon was a hairdresser for Torys Salon for seven years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Monclova Road Baptist Church since 1998 and also worked in the nursery at church. Sharon was a member of the school board at Monclova Christian Academy. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Joe, who she married July 20, 1968; daughters, Nicole Marcus Keck, Natalie Andrew Graham; son, Nathan Nichole Stec; she was known as Marmar to her grandchildren, Sophie, Emma and Anson Keck and a 4th grandchild due in February; she was known as Amma to her grandchildren, Sadie and Cecilia Graham; mother, Gertrude DeVore; sisters, Sally Carl Asbury, Susie Howard Burleigh, Linda Jack Sturgus; brothers, Wilbur Dora DeVore, Harry Ruth Ann DeVore, Denny Sandy DeVore, George ReeAnn DeVore; sister-in-law, Mary Ann DeVore, father-in-law, Frank Stec. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Henry, twin brother, Anson DeVore and mother-in-law, Helen Stec. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 2-5 and 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be at Monclova Road Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Road, Monclova, Ohio Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
