Sharon K Merritt

Sharon K. (Honsberger) Merritt, 71, of Perrysburg, OH died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born July 9, 1942 in Perrysburg to Clyde and Thelma (Scheider) Honsberger. On August 26, 1962 she married Jim J. Merritt. Sharon was a secretary for many years for legal and medical offices in the area. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Master, active in the church altar guild, the representative for services at Perrysburg Commons and past church council secretary. Sharon was also a member of Perrysburg Christians United. Mrs. Merritt is survived by her loving daughters; Dawn Mason, of Cincinnati, OH, Lori (Tom) Johnston and Jamie (Russ) Slee, both of Perrysburg, OH, grandchildren; Gregory Mason, Bradley and Mackenzie Slee, brothers; Peter (Cherry) Stroup, of Golden, CO, Larry (Deb) Honsberger, of Elmore, OH and Dennis (Brenda) Honsberger, of Kokomo, IN, brother-in-law; Jack Merritt, of Wauseon, OH, and sister-in-law; Dot Hayton, of Toledo, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Thursday, April 3, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Friday, April 4, from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Master, 28744 Simmons Rd., Perrysburg, OH, with Pastor Chuck Campbell officiating.
