Sharon C. (Raether) Heuring, age 59, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 after a six-year battle with frontotemporal dementia. She was born November 26, 1957, to Edward and Jean Raether. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1975. After graduation, she attended Owens Community College and became a Registered Nurse. She worked for 30 years at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in open heart surgery and also worked for an autotransfusion team in various area hospitals. She loved family lake vacations, bike rides, baking, anniversary trips, attending her children’s ball games, and reading her Bible. Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Victor Heuring, on November 16, 1979. Sharon had strong faith and dedicated her life to her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. Sharon is survived by Victor, her husband of 37 years; children, Jeanna Heuring; Jaclyn (Chuck) Aiton; Craig (Erin Lowe) Heuring; and Keith Heuring; grandchildren, Dustin, Cameron, Tana, Shia Aiton, and Charlie Heuring; sister, Judy (Paul) Kunce; brother, Dan Raether; mother-in-law, Norma Heuring; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Tom) Rodgers, Julie Heuring; brother-in-law, Gary Heuring, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution in Sharon’s memory are asked to consider Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, or Cardinal Stritch High School. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Ohio Living Hospice for the care given to Sharon over the last eight months, and her children want to thank their father, Victor, for his selfless dedication and caregiving over the last six years. Sharon’s family will receive visitors at Epiphany of the Lord Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 am until the start of Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
