In Loving Memory of
Sharon Sue Buckley
December 27, 1940 - February 27, 2026
Heaven gained a beautiful angel with the passing of Sharon Sue Buckley, who left this world peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by the love of her family.
Sharon was born on December 27, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Emma and Roy Douglas. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1959 and continued her education at Mountain State University, where she studied to become a Medical Laboratory Technician. While there, she met the love of her life, Douglas Buckley, and they were married on April 10, 1965, beginning a lifetime filled with love, devotion, and family.
Sharon dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work in the medical field, a reflection of her naturally compassionate heart. She found joy in cooking and baking for her loved ones, working in her yard, and cheering on her favorite teams, especially Ohio State and West Virginia. But above all else, Sharon's greatest happiness came from her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, never missing a chance to support them and celebrate their lives.
Sharon had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. She truly never met a stranger-those she didn't know were only friends she had yet to meet. Her warm smile, generous heart, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She leaves behind her loving children, Stacy Clark (Brad Clark), Heath Buckley (Janice Buckley), and Jason Buckley; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler (Olivia Dunbar), Lauren Clark, Lydia Buckley, Kathrine Clark, Isabella Buckley, Jack Buckley, and Sam Buckley; and her precious great-grandson, Jackson Dunbar. She is also survived by her brother, John (Cindy) Douglas, her sister-in-law Martha Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Douglas Buckley; her parents, Emma and Roy Douglas; her sister, Glema Mollohan; her brother, Eddie Douglas; and her grandson, Tyler Dunbar.
Sharon's family is deeply grateful for the care and compassion shown by Dr. Navin Jain, Dr. Zafar Magsi, Dr. M. Farooq Afridi, and the dedicated staff of the Edward and Marion L. Knight Hospice Center of Northwest Ohio.
Family and friends are invited to attend Sharon's Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio. Walker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Sharon's love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine through the family and friends who carry her memory forward.
