Shannon (Saggese) Kusian, 43, peacefully went home to God on September 21, 2016. Born July 20, 1973, in Toledo, Ohio, to Paul and Barbara Saggese she graduated from Sylvania Southview High School, in Sylvania, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio in 1997. She worked as an accountant for the Pharm Drug Store in Sylvania, Ohio, starting while she was in college. She and her husband Jamie started their family with the birth of their first daughter, Paula in 1998. She became a full time homemaker and welcomed their daughters Delaney in 2002 and Angelena in 2005 into this world. Being a Mother and homemaker was her life work and she loved it. She lived for her family and was devoted to her children. She loved the many pets the family had over the years and cherished the family time she spent with her children. She believed that her best times in life were spent with her children. It was evident to everyone that knew her that she loved her children dearly. She was a woman full of life, motherly love, godly character, and wisdom. She was devoted to loving and serving others. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Toledo Ohio Shannon is survived by her former husband Jamie Kusian, children Paula R. Kusian. Delaney J. Kusian, and Angelena Kusian of Oregon, Ohio; father Paul Saggese of Sylvania, Ohio; Robert S. (Shannon) Saggese of Sylvania, Ohio and their three sons; Michael D. (Carla) Saggese of Sylvania, Ohio and their son; uncle John (Carol) Saggese and family of Sylvania, Ohio; Aunt Arlene (Charles) Tucker and family of Temperance, Michigan; and many cousins including her cousin, Amie Saggese of Sylvania, Ohio, with whom she was especially close. She leaves behind many friends to join her family in mourning her passing. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Medical Staff of St. Luke’s Hospital and Heartland of Waterville Nursing Home who provided her with loving, professional care during her final illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara (Young) Saggese. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 5-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) with a Scripture service and sharing of memories at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home with prayers at 9:30 AM Tuesday followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church
