Shannon D. Base

Shannon D. Base, 67, of the Shoreland Community, Toledo, Ohio, passed away at her home on July 6, 2022, after a long illness. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio on November 10, 1954, the daughter of Paul J. and Norma Jean (Tyree) Hall. Shannon graduated from Bowling Green State University, in 1975, as a licensed practical nurse. She married Bryan R. Base in Toledo on December 13, 2000.

Shannon started her nursing career at the Josina Lott Foundation, Living Facility in Toledo later working for the Heartland Holly Glen nursing home of Toledo. She became an administrator/instructor for the American Red Cross for the next 20+ years until her retirement. She finished her LPN career serving at the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio for 5 years.

Shannon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to the races. She was a diehard sports fan of the University of Michigan, Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox and a Kyle Petty fan.

Shannon is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Bryan, son, Thaddeus Thallman, daughter, Bethany Thallman, grandchildren Hunter, Raegan, and Coy Hamic, Maliyah Stubbe, Gage, Garrett, and Gracie Thallman. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Loren Hall.

There are no services scheduled at this time. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa is assisting the family with arrangements.
