Scott Spencer

Scott Andrew Spencer, 64, of Walbridge, Ohio died Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 21, 1958 to Harold Thomas and Barbara Jean (Rumer) Spencer. He grew up in Perrysburg Township and always considered Rossford his home.

Scott graduated from Rossford High School in 1976, where he played basketball on the varsity team. Scott’s love of basketball made him one of the best players in the state. He received a full ride scholarship to Louisiana State University, but decided to attend Bowling Green State University to be close to his family and friends.

Scott worked for the BP Refinery in Oregon. He volunteered in the Rossford community delivering Meals on Wheels for the Wood County Committee on Aging. He enjoyed going to concerts and his favorite was the Doobie Brothers. Scott was a friend to everyone and will always be remembered for his kindness.

Scott is survived by his brothers, Mark (Carrie) Spencer and Kevin Spencer; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; longtime best friend, Todd Robson and his dog, Fred and many other friends in Rossford. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cheryl Spencer, Craig Spencer, and Lisa Spencer.

Friends will be received at Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, Rossford on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Memorial donations in Scott’s name may be made to Rossford Area Senior Center, 400 Dixie Highway, Rossford, Ohio 43460. Online condolences may be left at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
