Scott Thomas Kleinhans, 68, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2025, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home. He was born on July 26, 1956, in Port Clinton, to James and Evelyn (Krepel) Kleinhans.
Scott graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1974. He was known for his free-spirited nature, he worked as a handyman throughout his life, taking on plumbing and carpentry jobs here and there. He was a true “character” – someone who could light up a room and always knew how to have fun.
Scott rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but only when they were playing against the Cleveland Browns. He also had a special connection to Put-in-Bay, where he enjoyed both working and unwinding. Whether he was working or simply enjoying good times with friends, Scott always brought his infectious personality with him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Laura; special friends, Deb and Dan Claire; brothers, James M. (Vi) Kleinhans, Karl D. Kleinhans, Paul N. (Sue Tarry) Kleinhans, and Charles I. (Pam Wolf) Kleinhans; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evelyn Kleinhans.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, at the Commodore Perry Resorts Conference Room, 255 W. Lake Shore Drive, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
