Sarah Marguerite Strasbourg

Sarah Marguerite Strasbourg, daughter, wife, mother and sister died early Saturday February 26, 2011 with her husband at her side. She was 53. Sarah was a strong, vibrant person who loved life and engaged everyone she met. She was born July 18, 1957 to Arthur R. and Barbara E. Kohl. In 1965 Barbara married Forest E. Wilson and he became Dad. Sarah received her Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Bowling Green State University and then her Masters Degree from the University of Toledo. She began her career in teaching in Toledo Public Schools at DeVilbiss and Start. She then became a teaching consultant for the school system, then became a Small School Leader of Arts and Media at Scott High School and most recently was a Work Study Coordinator at Waite and Woodward High Schools. Sarah was a dedicated runner who loved to run at Wildwood Metropark and competed in marathons and triathlons. Surviving is her husband Gerald B. Strasbourg, whom she married April 11, 1987; daughter Barbara fiance Aaron Urbanski Strasbourg; twin sons Samuel and Jonathon Strasbourg; brother Chris Bobbie Wilson; sister Beth Mark Vige; brother-in-law John Thomas Strasbourg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. West of Corey on Friday from 3-8 PM. Funeral services and interment will be private.
