Sarah Nicole Monroe, age 18, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was born on September 9, 1996 in Toledo, Ohio to Matthew and Beth (Talbert) Monroe. Sarah enjoyed art and playing soccer at Maumee High School where she was a senior. Sarah was active in the Interact Club at the high school and also the book club. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church and was involved in the youth group and took an active part in mission trips. Sarah loved children and often connected with the elderly. She was loving, had a huge heart and was very giving and trusting. Sarah was strong willed; there were two ways of doing things, Sarahs way and Sarahs way. She loved to make people laugh and lift their spirits. She was a good and loyal friend. Sarah is survived by her parents, Matthew (Angela) Monroe and Beth (Alan Kraus) Monroe; sister, Shawna Monroe; step-brothers, Carter and Dylan Crum; grandmother, Paula Monroe; and step-grandparents, Thomas (Cynthia) Dorrington. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, cousins and her beloved cat, Scout. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Lawrence Larry Monroe; Lawrence Larry Talbert and Rosalie Talbert; great-grandparents, Helen Busha Boback Gary, Sarah and Louis Monroe; and Paul and Martha Greding. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne Street, Maumee, Ohio.
