Sanjuana Villarreal

Sanjuana Villarreal, 94, of Perrysburg, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Wood County Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sanjuana was born July 24, 1928 in Dolores, Texas to Pablo and Atanacia (Celestino) Castro. She married Ramiro Villarreal, Sr. on Oct. 8, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1993.

Sanjuana was member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. She loved to play BINGO, crochet, and gardening.

She is survived by her children; Mary Lou Santellana, Oscar Villarreal, Alejandra Villarreal and Carmen Villarreal; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Paul, Gilbert and Maria DeJesus. Along with her husband, Ramiro, she was preceded in death by her son, Ramiro, Jr., parents, daughter in-law, Pat Villarreal; brother and sisters, Ascecion “Cruz” De La Cruz Castro Cortez, Francisco Castro, Josefina Oviedo and Maria De Los Reyes Sanchez.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) with the Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Prayers will be in the funeral home Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E.
