Sandra A. Sam Zunk

Sandra Sam Zunk, 64, of Genoa, died Tuesday evening, April 3, 2018, at the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born December 17, 1953, to Paul and Arlene (Kruse) Kozina. She was a 1971 graduate of Genoa Area High School and Penta County and worked in bookkeeping for Dalton & Associates, the Village of Genoa Utilities, Jensen Construction and Siglar & Sieving Plumbing. Sandy was an OSU football and a NASCAR fan and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Sandy is survived by her life partner, Joseph Fletcher of Genoa, her sons, Jeremy Zunk of Toledo, Jayme Zunk (Tina Sweet) of Clay Center and Daniel Zunk of Genoa; grandchildren, Samantha, Autumn and Michael; brothers, David (Karen) Kozina of Oregon, Mark (Vickie) Kozina of Nashville, TN, and sister, Aeleen (Matthew) Heilman of Toledo. Her parents preceded her in death. Per the familys wishes, there will be no services, and burial will take place in Clay Township Cemetery in Genoa. Memorials for Sandy may be given to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #36, 101 E. 6th St., Genoa, OH 43430. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital ICU and the nurses and staff at Genoa Care Center for the loving care that was given to Sandy.
