Sandra Lee (Niedzwiecki) Rinehart passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Flower Hospital at the age of 75. She was born in Toledo to Leon and Kazmiera (Dziegielewski) Niedzwiecki on July 1, 1946. She was a 1964 graduate of Woodward High School and attended the University of Toledo learning the skills that would serve her first in a secretarial position at Kaiser Jeep early in her professional career and again many years later as a medical transcriptionist for various psychiatrists and therapists associated with Toledo Hospital. It was at Jeep where she met her best friend and the love of her life, William “Bill” Rinehart. After marrying on August 7, 1970, she found joy as a loving wife, mother to two children, and proud grandmother to 3 wonderful grandchildren. Sandra held many titles through her lifetime. First was “Daughter” to her parents, then “Sister” to her three younger brothers, “Secretary” at Kaiser Jeep, “First Baseman” in the Jeep Softball League, “Wife” after a whirlwind romance, and “The Sandlady” as she was always called by her loving husband, and then “Mom”. She was known also as “Den Mother” to the Brownies and Girl Scout troops at Lincolnshire School as well as the “Visiting Art Lady” to numerous grade schools in the Washington Local Schools. Perhaps her favorite title of all, though, was “Grandma”. She was predeceased by her parents and son William Jason Rinehart. She is survived by her husband, William Jesse Rinehart, daughter Dawn (Stephen) Stanvick of Andover, Massachusetts, grandchildren Logan, Samantha, and Mackenzie Rinehart of Ida, Michigan, and brothers Ronald (Prudence), Daniel, and Thomas Niedzwiecki. Friends and family are welcome to gather in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service to share Sandy’s story at 3:00 p.m. The family suggests contributions in her name be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
