Sandra Kay Phillips

On Sunday, January 9, 2022, Sandra Phillips, loving wife and mother of six children, passed away at the age of 80. She was born August 25,1941, in Evansville, Indiana to Dale Hamilton and Bertha Burkhardt. Sandra married Robert J. Phillips in September 1959 and together they celebrated 62 loving years of marriage. Sandra spent forty-seven years at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park as a dedicated and beloved employee. She enjoyed spending time with her children and bonding with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over Mickey Mouse, tattoos and true crime. Sandra was known for her love of bright pink nails and lipstick, her sense of humor, quick wit, and infectious smile. Sandra was preceded in death by her father - Dale, mother - Bertha, sister - Sonya and brother - Mike. She is survived by her husband - Robert, and their children, Sherry King, Terry Phillips (Ernie), Debby Bailey (Jack), Ginny Gomer, Jim Phillips (Irma), and Robyn Dandar (Robert) as well as her fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Per Sandra’s request, the family is choosing to celebrate her life privately and will not be having any public services.
