Sandra L. Motta

Sandra L. Motta passed away suddenly on Monday, November 11, 2019. Sandra was born August 10, 1944 and spent her early years in Tennessee. She dealt with childhood polio which only made her a stronger person. She graduated from Union City High School in TN and Lambuth College at the University of Memphis Campus where she was a member of Alpha XI Delta Sorority.  Sandra pursued her dream of becoming a Social Worker, a career she loved that spanned 40 years. Sandra furthered her education by achieving a MSSA, Masters of Social Work Degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1988. Sandra was a passionate healthcare Social Worker and Administrator at Mercy and Toledo Hospitals and the long term care facilities, Foundation Park and Lutheran Home. Sandra took pride in her home and her possessions. She loved the art of interior decorating and thrived to have her home decorated to the hilt especially at Christmastime. In her younger years, Sandra played the church organ and was quite a pianist who also loved classical music. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur Bill LaMotta and Nan Bryn, her former husband Richard Harrison, and a host of fur dogs and cats including Pickle and Schultz. She is survived by numerous friends and Tinker, her cat. Donations may be made to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter, Christ Presbyterian Church or CWRU Mandell School of Applied Social Services. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Christ Presbyterian Church 4225 W.
