Sandra Lee Mitchell

Sandra Lee Mitchell, age 78, of Lambertville, died October 19, 2023, in her home. Sandy was born April 21, 1945, in Toledo to the late Merton and Hilda (Paxton) Bailiff and graduated from Whitmer High School. She was employed at Chrysler/Jeep for more than 30 years.

In her free time, Sandy enjoyed traveling with her husband, working in the beautifully kept flower gardens around her home, and bowling in the senior league at Miracle Lanes. She had a love for animals, especially her Yorkie, Molly, and liked to watch both Facebook and TikTok videos of animals for entertainment. Sandy will be remembered for her strong, loving personality and her for her charitable nature.

Surviving is her beloved husband of 34 years, Michael Mitchell; children, Scott Tignor and Lauri Grigg; stepchildren, Shannon (Mimi) Black, David (Stella) Mitchell, Carol (Johnny) Sanders, and Stacy (Zack) Cox; siblings, Bill (Sharon) and John (Linda) Bailiff and Nancy (Doug) May; special granddaughter, Brenna Benedict and niece, Jennifer May; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tom, and granddaughter, Chelsea Benedict.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Faith United Lutheran Church (formerly Reformation), 4543 Douglas Rd., Toledo, OH 43613.

Contributions in her name are suggested to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
