Sandra Lee Lucas

Sandra Lee Lucas, 67, of Marblehead, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, OH. She was born in Steubenville, OH, on December 10, 1940, the daughter of Denver and Mildred Fellows Howell. On February 20, 1960 in Marblehead, OH, she married Joseph S. Lucas and he survives. Sandy was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. Sandy was an excellent baker, loved cooking and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband of 48 years: Joseph Joe S. Lucas of Marblehead, OH; Children: James Susan Lucas of Marblehead, OH, Cindy Rick Heydle of Youngstown, OH, Janet Kevin Bell Lucas of Apex, NC, Debra Stephen Svenson of Struthers, OH and William Robyn Lucas of Marblehead, OH; 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Joyce Bob Frederick; Brother: Ronald Phyllis Howell. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Donna Howell. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, where a prayer service will be held at 3:45PM. A Funeral Mass will be conducted by Reverend Dan Ring at 10:00AM, Friday, August 22, 2008 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH, the body will lie in state from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sandys memory can be given to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
