Sandra C. Konzen died October 10th, 2023. Sandy was born on July 31st, 1942 in Bellevue, Ohio to Harry Elvin (Al) and Annabel Ball Culler. She graduated from Bellevue High with the Class of 1960 and from Bowling Green State University in 1964. She held a BS in Education with a double major in math and history.
She was happy to come back to her old high school to teach 7th and 8th grade math. She then taught Jr, high math and geography at Lincolnview North in Van Wert County.
Sandy married Larry H. Konzen on June 18th, 1966. They moved to Findlay in September of 1967. Their daughter Karen was born in 1973 and Sandy was able to be a stay-at-home Mom.
Her interest in genealogy began during this time and continued until her death. She loved old cemeteries- even if no family was buried there.
Sandy worked as a tax preparer and instructor for H&R Block and then for Knueven and Schrader.
Sandy and Larry retired to Danbury Twp. In 1995 where she began 20 years of volunteer tax prep and instructing. She was active in the Port Clinton Senior Center holding Historian and President positions there.
Sandy and Larry had many rescue animals: 2 dogs and many special cats. Her interests included Bridge (though her favorite game was Euchre), needlework, knitting and crochet. She donated many of the items she created. She was also an avid reader, especially mysteries.
Sandy was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Port Clinton.
