Sandra Kay Bloomfield

Sandra Kay Bloomfield, 67, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, Ohio, on January 14, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on May 30, 1953, the daughter of Eugene and Carolyn (Hoover) Bevens. Sandra married Leonard Bloomfield in Genoa on March 9, 1975. Sandra’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, she loved them with all her heart. She made every minute spent with them count, from just being there to help to telling them stories of past family events. Sandra was a fisherman at heart and could be found on the banks of the Portage River and Toussaint Creek, with her shoes off enjoying the warm weather. She liked to catch the fish but didn’t like to clean them! Sandra is survived by her husband, Leonard, children, Charlotte (Stephen) Perlaky, Leonard G. Bloomfield, Nicole Piotrowski, grandchildren, Leonard, Jr., Brayden, Chelsey, Aubrey, Averey, Zachary & Jaylyn, great grandchildren, Dixon and Nova, siblings, Joyce Petersen, Christine (John) Pittman, Wanda (Floyd) Sexon, Richard (Linda) Bevens and Dawn (Jeremey) Grooms. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Ray Bevens. Visitation will be from 10 AM -12 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 PM in the Harris-Elmore-Union Cemetery, Elmore, Ohio.
