Pontarollo Sana Joanne Weber July 30, 1930-November 27, 2008 Mom died peacefully at home with her two daughters and son-in-law at her side. She has gone to be with her family in heaven and her presence will be greatly missed. Sana was a 1948 graduate of Scott High School in Toledo, OH. She was a student and dance instructor with Hanf Dance Studios before pursuing a dream of being a skater with Holiday on Ice. She skated two seasons with them until she was discovered and invited to go to New York City to be a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. Sana returned home, met, and married Richard A. Pontarollo in 1955 who was a hockey player with the Mercurys. They were married over 50 years when her husband left her side. Now she joins him with our heavenly father. In addition to her husband, mom was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Pohlman, step-father, John Pohlman, and father, Frank Weber. She leaves behind two lovely daughters and son-in-law, Stacy Pontarollo and Tina Tony Warren; and sister-in-law, Ariadne Pontarollo. She loved them with her whole being and didnt want to leave. She leaves behind a legacy of dancing and skating to all who knew her. Mom, thanks for shiny things and fantasy, make-believe and stardom. We love you. There will be a celebration of her life on November 30, 2008 starting at 1:00pm at 2601 Portsmouth, Toledo, OH. We hope friends, family, and any caretakers over the past year stop in and spend time with us. In lieu of flowers, all donations may be directed to NWO Hospice. A special thank you to moms special helper- Elisa; Dr. Palmer and Chris, and the staff at the wound care center; Dr. Upamaka; Dr. Kahill-Jacob; Jill and Lisa from Caring Services; Rita and Pat from Hospice.
