Sam Haddad

Sam Haddad, age 61, passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, July 3, 2010. He was born on October 28, 1948 to Sam and Wajiha Haddad in Toledo. A Woodward High School graduate, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and went on to graduate from the University of Toledo in 1973. He was a successful small business owner and operator of Tri State Motors on the Central Avenue Strip and was currently enjoying retirement playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Sam was an extraordinarily kind, giving and loving father, brother, uncle and truly a friend to everyone. His big personality and carefree way of life will be missed by all who had a chance to share a beer and a laugh with him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Josephine E. Haddad. Sam is survived by his daughter, Christina Jeff Polesovsky of Columbus and his sister, Elaine B. Barber of Toledo. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey A. Barber, Gregory Tracy Barber, Lisa Eric Zahnle, Robert E. Barber and Sheryl Jim Bair, in addition to his uncle, Joseph Seif; cousins, great nieces and nephew and many friends, including Lora J. Haddad. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00am.
