Sally Sluhan Wright, 71, of Bowling Green, Ohio died Friday, June 15, 2018 at home. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on January 31, 1947 to Clyde A. and Marian (Elliott) Sluhan. Sally graduated from Perrysburg High School and later received her bachelor’s degree in Oral Interpretation of English Literature from Northwestern University. She was the Edgar Alan Poe Award nominated author of the Ben Reese series and the Jo Grant horse country mysteries. Sally was an active family owner of Master Fluid Solutions (AKA Master Chemical Corp.) and member of her church, Nova Christian Fellowship, in Toledo. Sally married Joe H. Wright on August 8, 1970 in Perrysburg. Together they raised their family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed. Sally is survived by her husband, Joe H. Wright; children, Aaron W. Wright of Bowling Green, Ohio and Jessye R. Wright (and husband, Larry Adams) of Niles, Illinois; grandchildren, Joe Harless Wright II, Vivien Renee Wright and Dylan Wright Adams; brother, William A. Sluhan (and wife, Carol) of Bowling Green, Ohio. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elliott D. Sluhan. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
