Sally A. Eward age 81 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on June 7, 1940, to Jack C. and Norma S. (Bishop) Johns. Sally was a 1958 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and attended Bethany College graduating in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in Education. She married the love of her life, Jesse J. Eward on November 3, 1962, and he survives. Her memberships included First United Methodist Church and their Woman’s Group and Alpha XI Delta Sorority. Sally was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, band mom, home mom, schoolteacher, and taught nursery school. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, the Cleveland Browns and Indians; and spending time with her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Surviving is her husband, Jesse; children, Jesse Eward III, Sarah (Darvin) Biederstedt, John (Leigh) Eward; grandchildren, Jacob Willford, Andrew (Kara) Willford, Emma Eward and Alexander “Alex” Eward; step grandchildren, Joshua “Josh” (Jodi) Biederstedt, Anna (Chad) Pittman and sister, Ellen (Larry) Bosetti. Also surviving is 1 niece and 1 nephew. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her father and mother in-law, Jesse J. and Ellen E. (Collige) Eward. Friends and family may be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Additional visitation will take place in the funeral home on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hoy Cemetery, Napoleon, OH.
