Salem Yousef Qammoh

Salem Yousef Qammoh, age 90, of Toledo, died November 11, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Salem was born in 1930 in Jordan to the late Yousef and Warredeh (Assker) Qammoh. Salem spent most of his working career serving in the military in Jordan. He and his wife came to the United States in 1992 to be with his sons and grandchildren. Salem enjoyed swimming and horseback riding in his free time. A man of devout faith in Christ, he was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Toledo. Salem is survived by his wife, Asma; sons, Yousef, Ghada, Ayman, Munther and Firas; 10 beautiful grandchildren, Jordan, Ayman, Odeh, Menwa, Maria, Marcel, Claudia, Carlos, Adam and Zach; and siblings, Jamelh, Jaleleh and Jamleh. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Hillaleh, Suliman, Ruda, Fahid and Salameh. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Road, Toledo, Ohio 43606. Committal rites and burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the cathedral.
