Rutila G. Castilleja

Rutila G. Castilleja, 79, of Genoa, Ohio died Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Houston TX on September 12, 1932 to John and Mary Guerra Garcia. Rutila married Marcelino K. Castilleja in Covington, KY on March 28, 1949, and he survives. Rutila was a wonderful homemaker who loved her family dearly. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with all of them! She also enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and traveling. Her beloved family includes her husband of almost 63 years, Marcelino, her children, Gloria Michael Pearce, Dora Angelo Pecina, Esther Sandwisch, Rutila Eddie Almaraz Artiaga, Olga Craig Bechtel, Rachel David Riffle, Lucy Rob Russell Castilleja, David Mary Lou Castilleja, Steve Jackie Castilleja, Martin Castilleja, Thomas, Dawn Castilleja, and Jesse Cynthia Castilleja. Rutila also had 34 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Joel Garcia, half sister, Janie Perez, and half brothers, Lupe Garcia and John Garcia, Jr.. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Castilleja, sisters, Trina Molina, Estefana Orozco, Isabell Arellano, and brother Luis Garcia A funeral service for Rutila will be conducted 11AM, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St John United Church of Christ, Genoa. Interment will follow in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Visitation will be in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, from 2-4 6-8 PM, Wednesday and on Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 7 pm in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions for Rutila be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH.
