Ruth E. Sister Yawman

Sr. Rose Yawman 87, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon, Ohio. She was born on December 1, 1927 in Rochester, NY to Victor and Ida (Goulet) Yawman. Sr. Rose began her religious profession as a Little Sister of the Poor on June 20, 1950, and has served the elderly at various homes throughout the U.S. including the past 19 years in Oregon. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Gabrielle White and Anita Page. Sr. Rose is survived by her sister, Geraldine M. Yawman (Rochester, NY.); several nieces and nephews in New York and Colorado. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 2 to 7 pm at the Sacred Heart Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, 930 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio with rosary and evening prayers at 4:30pm. Mass on Tuesday will be celebrated by Fr. Joseph A. Weigman at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Home, Little Sisters of the Poor. Interment will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery following the Mass.
