Ruth Frances Toth

Ruth Frances Schwanzl Toth, age 97, of Toledo and Sarasota Florida passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in The Toledo Hospital. She was born May 28, 1913 in Toledo to Frank and Anna Schwanzl. Ruth graduated from Central Catholic High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing. She practiced as a visiting nurse in the Toledo area until meeting and marrying her husband Bernard Toth, Sr. Ruth then retired from full time nursing to raise her three sons. She continued to utilize her nursing skills by volunteering with the Red Cross. Ruth also was instrumental in founding and maintaining the family business, Toth Industries serving as vice president and a Board of Directors member. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and getting together with her many special friends in Toledo and Sarasota. The widow of Bernard Toth, Sr., she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Bernadette Toth; sisters and brother. Surviving are her sons, Bernie Toth, Jr., Tom Bonnie and Rick Carol Toth; 6 granddaughters; 6 great grandchildren; and life long friend Annabelle Wiley and her daughter Marcia. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Thursday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will begin Friday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in Christ the King Church. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to a charity of the donor
