Ruth L Mouch

Ruth Ruthie Lillian Mouch, age 90, died peacefully at home surrounded by her wonderful family on Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was born October 25, 1922, in Samaria, Michigan. She met the love of her life, Harold, while working at Sealtest Dairy, and they married on October 23, 1943. After Harolds coaching and teaching career, together they founded Harold J. Mouch and Son Insurance Agency, which they ran successfully for 45 years. They were married for 65 years until his death in 2009. Ruthie was an excellent cook, known for her fabulous coconut cream pie and other extraordinary delights. She loved playing Scrabble games with her children, working crossword puzzles consistently two puzzles a day, and playing duplicate bridge at the Maumee Senior Center. She was an avid reader, specifically biographies and local history. She is survived by her seven loving children, Bill Pat, Molly Jay Cooper, Dan Sharon, Carole Steve Sarian, Lori Tom Schoen, John Jane, and Rob Kelly; 33 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. She will miss being with her life-long friend, Shirley Geiman, and her beloved Airedale, Sammy. Her parents and husband, Harold, preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her kindest heart and selfless giving. Family and friends may visit Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Maumee, with prayers being recited at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery.
