Ruth L Laws

Ruth L. Laws, 79, of Walbridge, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Oakleaf Village, Toledo. Ruth was born in Toledo on March 16, 1937 to James and Rose (Glander) Mowery. She married her beloved husband, Albert S. “Pat” Laws in September 1967 and he preceded her in death. Ruth was Owner and Founder of Laws Storage in Walbridge. She was a member of the Lotus Chapter #477 Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Matron in 1981 and again in 1988. Left to cherish Ruth’s memory are her sons, Richard (Janice) Porter and Ronald (Pam) Porter; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and brothers, Earl Mowery and Larry (Sheila) Mowery. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419) 666-3121 on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 PM., where O.E.S. will conduct services at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 AM. with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to CedarCreek Fusion or St. Timothy Youth Group.
