Ruth Rogers-Van Hoose

Ruth E. Van Hoose, 91, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on November 16, 1923 in Gibisonville, OH, the daughter of Bruce and Ada (Sater) Carr. She married her first husband, Hugh Rogers and he preceded her in death on November 06, 1980. Ruth married her second husband, Eugene Van Hoose and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2012. She worked as a quality control inspector for U.S. Gypsum for over 40 years. Ruth will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Bob (Gloria) Rogers and Jim (Vicki) Rogers; Step-Sons: Chuck Van Hoose, Barry (Karen) Van Hoose and Paul (Jennifer) Van Hoose; several loving Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren; several loving Nieces & Nephews; Brother: Charles (Arlene) Carr and Sister: Carolyn (Ron) Gibbs. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers: John Carr & Melvin Carr. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00PM, Thursday, June 04, 2015 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, June 05, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
