Ruth E. Eymann

Ruth E. Eymann, 81, of Catawba Island, OH died Friday, September 09, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born on April 23, 1930 in Cleveland, OH to Fred and Florence Uhl Turner. On August 23, 1952 in Willoughby, OH she married Dr. Russell J. Eymann, M.D. who preceded her in death on April 9, 1992. Ruth attended Andrews School for girls in Willoughby, OH. She graduated from Mount Union College with a bachelors degree in education and worked as a teacher for 11 years. Ruth was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Ohio Genealogical Society, First Families of Ohio, and the D.A.R. Molly Chittenden Chapter where she served as Regent from 1980-1986. She also volunteered in the gift shop at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. Ruth is survived by her daughter: Deborah Allen Kuck of Whitehouse, OH, son: R. John Marlene Eymann of Worthington, OH, 5 grandchildren: Stephanie Kuck, Matthew Kuck, Paige Kuck, Jacob Eymann, and Abigail Eymann; sister: Jean Hickey of Mentor, OH, nieces: Karen Hickey Mickel and Christina Hickey, and nephews: Jim Hickey and Michael Schweitzer. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A graveside service for Ruth will be conducted at noon on Saturday September 17th at Catawba Island Township Cemetery with an open house to follow at 3003 E. Shore Dr., Port Clinton.
