Ruth E Duvall

Ruth E. Duvall, age 90, of Curtice, OH passed away on May 4th, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her loving family. After her battles with many illnesses, she is free and at peace after so many years of suffering. She was born on February 9th, 1927 to Harlan and Jennie (Cook) Adams in Fultonham, Ohio. She was a cook for Wynn School in Oregon for many years. Ruth loved to inspire her family through her joyfulness. She loved to cook and bake, and at Christmas time, she gave away dozens of cookies as gifts. She tended to her garden and her yard, making sure that she had beautiful flowers filling her yard. Along with the flowers, she made sure to keep birdhouses along the house so she could watch the birds and their babies. She loved to travel, with her favorite trips including Hawaii, Alaska, and Branson, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; and her sons Gary and Scott. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and caregiver Karen (Terry) Moebius whom she was living with; her grandson and the light of her life, Andy (Renee) Moebius; 3 very special great grandchildren; Tessa, Elyse and Chloe Moebius; siblings Harlan (Pat) Adams and Marlene Damm; sister-in-law Ann Duvall. Ruth will lie in state at St. Ignatius Parish, 212 N. Stadium Road Oregon, Ohio 43616 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Tuesday May 9, 2017 with a mass of Christian burial to be held at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 East River Road Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
