Ruth M. Clark, age 85, of Genoa, Ohio, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was born September 25, 1928, in Oregon, Ohio, to Adolf and Clara Grotz. On April 14, 1948, she married Galen Jack Clark. There were married 41 years before his passing in 1989. The majority of their life together was spent living in Williston, Ohio, where they raised their four children, Daniel, Ronald, Kaye and Amy. Mom was a stay-at-home wife and mother for many years; but as her children grew older, she began working at the Luther Home of Mercy. She was a cook and also worked in the laundry department. Mom was a member of Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Oregon, Ohio. Our mom will always be remembered for her kindness towards others, her willingness to serve, a great sense of humor and her strong love of God. Mom accepted Jesus early in her life. Her desire was that all her family come to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. She daily prayed for each of her family members. Proverbs 31:27-28a perfectly describes our mom, She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; Our lives are blessed because of you, Mom! We will always love you. Ruth is survived by her sister, Catherine Morse and brother, Rollie Betty Grotz; children, Daniel Terri Clark, Ronald Deb Clark, Kaye John Harbal and Amy Jerry Lach; grandchildren, Jonathan, Alison, Eric, Traci, Kelley, Julie, Jeremiah and Joshua; great grandchildren, Maxwell, Lukas, Elijah, Harper, Carson, Jayden, Joshua and Sarah. Besides her husband, Galen, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Grotz, and grandson, Aaron Clark. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Ruth may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 N. Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870.
