Ruth E. Carlson

Ruth E. Carlson, 93, died early Thursday morning, August 14, 2014, at the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio, where she had been a resident since 1972. Ruth was born in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John E. and Edith C. (ODell) Carlson. Ruths religion and faith life had always been important to her. She loved visits from her family, and she was an outdoors person, who enjoyed nature and sitting outside when the weather was nice. Ruth is survived by her niece, Deborah Kardys of Universal City, Texas. Her parents and sister, Dorothy Evans, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 8:30-10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, at the Luther Home of Mercy Chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in East Akron Cemetery, Akron, Ohio. Memorials for Ruth may be given to the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., P.O. Box 187, Williston, OH 43468. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted with arrangements.
