Ruth Emma Caldwell

Ruth E. Caldwell, 97, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Heartland of Perrysburg. Ruth was born August 30, 1913 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Oscar and Lullia (Snyder) Schramm. Ruth married Ralph Caldwell on June 9, 1935 at Zoar Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1973. Ruth was a cafeteria supervisor for Perrysburg High School for 25 years and later worked at Cofes Donut Shop and Wendy’s. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church and loved spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Diana J. Maybin, son-in-law, Rolland L. Emch, Jr.; grandchildren, Cindy (Joe) Stockwell, Randi (Boon) McNamee, Rick (Kathy) Emch, Mike (Patti) Emch, Scott (Cindy) Emch, Lynette (Tim) Borgmann, Greg Pasquale., Perri (Chester) Moreland, Jon Pasquale, Brad Pasquale, Dawn Warren, Earl Wintersmith, Jr. and special great-grandchildren, Jason McNamee and Tricia Williamson; twenty-five great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren. Along with her husband Ralph, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Emch, grandson, Brian Pasquale, great-granddaughter, Stephanie Emch and sisters, Helen Artz and Gladys Zieman. Friends will be received from 3-8 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) Visitation will continue after 12:30 P.M. Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 with funeral services beginning at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Zoar Lutheran Church.
