Russell Beryl Kosch

Russell B. Kosch, 88, of Maumee, OH passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 16, 1920 in Maumee to Albert and Fay Mathewson Kosch. Russell was a US Naval veteran serving during WWII. He was employed in the Maintenance Department of LOF for 29 years, retiring in 1982. Russell was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, member of the Maumee Eagles, Elks, American Legion Post and VFW. Russell is survived by his wife, Gertrude Sominski Kosch; son, James Suzan Kosch; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Maryann, Herman Marge and Forest Glenna Kosch. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jenifer Kosch; sisters, Leora, Faye and Phyllis; brothers, Henry, Louie, Lester, John and Boris. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, on Wednesday February 4, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 12:30 p.m. and continue with the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Richard Cemetery, Swanton, Ohio.
