Rudy Gene Clay

Rudy Clay, 63, a current resident of the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, OH passed away Friday, July 8, 2022. He was born on June 19, 1959 in Allen County, Lima, OH to Harry and Dorthie (Gillette) Clay. Rudy lived at Northwest Ohio Developmental Center for about 30 years. He attended Larc Lane Center. Rudy came to live at the Luther Home of Mercy on December 17, 2012.  He also attended Riverview Industries, Inc.

During his years at Luther Home of Mercy, Rudy particularly liked when others sang familiar songs to him; his favorite was “patty cake”.  He also liked watching television, going on van rides and being outdoors.  Although a man of few words, he especially enjoyed laughing /smiling with his support staff.

Pastor Denise Brown will be officiating a memorial service for Rudy in the Luther Home of Mercy Chapel on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:30 am.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
