Ruby T. Smith

Ruby T. Smith, age 87, of Toledo, died October 28, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born October 10, 1931 in Lake City, TN to the late William and Margaret (Cox) Hatmaker. A homemaker, cat-lover and gardener, Ruby found her greatest joy in sharing time with her family. She will be remembered for her loving, generous and compassionate nature. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carol (John) Anderson; step sons, Terry and Jeff Smith; sisters, Edna Mohr and Sue Clifford; grandchildren, Breanne Lieske, Stephanie Barlow, Misty Longoria, Bryan Krueger, Corey, Mallory, Will and Jack Smith; and great grandchildren, Lukas Lieske and Alexia Longoria. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Smith, in 1998; and son, Michael Krueger in 1985. Visitation and services were private and Ruby was laid to rest with her husband at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cherry Street Mission, Paws and Whispers or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
