Roy R Young

Roy R. Young, 95, of Walbridge, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Roy was born on November 25, 1919 to Roy and Estelle (Starcher) Young in Linden, West Virginia. He married Gernie (Delaney) on March 31, 1945 in Akron, Ohio and she preceded him in death. Roy was a diesel truck mechanic for Matlack Trucking for 25 years. Roy was a longtime member of Mainstreet Church in Walbridge. He is survived by his children: Sue (Jerry) Gibson, Roy E. (Bev) Young, Richard (Fern) Young, and Juanita (Lennie) Zunk; grandchildren: Gretchen ( Judd) Fisher, Amy (the late Dan) Sprinski, Scott (Kristi) Gibson, Roy (Angie) Young, Matt Young, Andrea (Rob) Remele, Vanessa (Tony) Suk, Erin (Quincy Hens) Young, Jeremy Young, Gessie (Aaron) Limber, and Lyndsay (Matthew) Brentllinger, twelve great-granchildren; Sister, Ada Marks; and brothers: John Young and James (Betty) Young. Friends will be received Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419) 666-3121 from 12:00-2:00 pm. with funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Lake Township Cemetery.
