ROY W. ELLSWORTH Roy W. “Junior” Ellsworth, age 82, of Walbridge, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in his residence. He was born in Bowling Green to Roy and Florence (Weiss) Ellsworth. Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Roy was a Heavy Duty Mechanic employed with Ohio Operating Engineers, and Fondessy which later became known as Envirosafe. He also worked at Pierce Construction, and after 50 years of combined employment he retired. Roy attended First St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oregon and was a member of American Legion Post#947. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, children; Roy “Randy” (Jeannie) Ellsworth, Kathi (Tim) Lammie, Kaye (Jeff) Watson, Kitty (Ray) Sternberg and Kris (Bob) Temple, step-children; Jim (Sandy), Mike (Wanda), Cindy, Chuck and Cheryl Putman, twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, and special niece; Elva Beckner. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Pat Ellsworth, son; Ricky Ellsworth, granddaughter; Ceairra and brothers; Deil and Cecil Ellsworth. Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 2-9pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 A.M.
