Roy Calvin Boyce, (69), of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep next to his wife on December 29, 2023.
Roy was born to Roy and Elizabeth Robinson, on October 26, 1954, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and adopted by Howard Boyce at the age of 8. Roy graduated from Lake High School and had a career in the trucking industry, working at Kalida prior to his retirement. Roy was a mentor and inspiration to many over the years. He had a passion for restoring classic cars. Roy was a multitalented man and his mastery was unmatched. Roy was determined and persevered overcoming countless obstacles in life. Roy was a prideful man and devoted his life to his wife and children.
Roy is survived by his wife Catherine and five children, Amanda (husband, Justin Haiser), Jessica (husband, Vincent Watson II), Daniel (wife, Amber Boyce), Elizabeth (husband, Keric Fritzsching), Michael (wife, Jennifer Boyce). Grandchildren, Jackson and Ava, Anthony and Victoria, Gabriella, Shelby, and Jace, Andrew, Evelynne, Lilliann, and William “Liam”, Kaylee, Kile, and Gavin. He is also survived by his sister, Nona “Sue”, brother, Lewis, brother, Jerry Sr., sister, Nancy.
Roy was predeceased by his parents, Roy, Howard, and Elizabeth, his infant brother, Robbie, and Granddaughter, Sophia Rosalynne.
Roy would say his greatest achievement in life was raising his children along side his wife. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was loved by many and will be missed immensely. Memories with Roy will be cherished and he will live on through his legacy left behind.
