Rowan Alexander-Jay Thompson

Rowan "Ro Ro," "Rolo," "Raj" Alexander-Jay Thompson passed away on July 3, 2026. Though his time on earth was brief, the love he brought into the lives of those around him will last forever.

Rowan was born on May 13, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio, to his parents, Jacob and Tabetha (Cutcher) Thompson. From the very beginning, he filled every room with joy. He had beautiful blueish-green eyes that captured every heart he met and soft, fuzzy blond hair that had just begun to grow in. Rowan was almost always smiling, even in his sleep, and those precious smiles will remain cherished memories for all who knew and loved him.

He found comfort in the simplest moments, especially lying on his daddy's chest or resting peacefully in his mommy's loving arms. Rowan loved gazing out the window at the pond beside his parents' home. He delighted in making silly faces with his grandma and was surrounded every day by endless love and affection.

Left to cherish Rowan's memory are his loving parents, Jacob and Tabetha Thompson; his big brother, Waylon Thompson; his grandparents, Melissa Wears and Amie and Shawn Biddle; his aunts, Olivia (Ethan) Whitaker and Dakota (Dorian Hinton) Thompson; his great-grandparents, Jay and Nancy Johnson; and many cousins who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Betty Jo and Kenneth D. Wears; his great-uncle, Kenneth B. Wears; his great-great-great-uncle, Robert Johnson; and his great-great-grandparents, Frank A. and Shirley Johnson.

His gentle spirit, sweet smile, and the happiness he brought to his family will never be forgotten. He will forever be deeply loved, greatly missed, and always carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until Rowan's funeral ceremony at 12:00 p.m..
