Rosetta Bartaldo, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Oakleaf Village of Toledo–Sylvania under the care of Hospice of NWO. Rose was born October 21, 1925 to Jane (Restivo) and Charles Annarino in Toledo, Ohio. Rose married her best friend of 72 years, Carl, on April 23, 1949 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Toledo, Ohio. Together they raised three beautiful children and created a life filled with warm memories. Those who knew Rose would describe her as a strong woman with gumption, a flare for life, and a deep love for her family. Rose was also a woman of faith with a spirited commitment to her Catholic identity. She was always learning new hobbies and excelled as a calligrapher, crochet artist, dancer, and hard candy connoisseur.
Rose is survived by her daughters Mary Jane Roberts (Bruce), Cindi Harman, and daughter in-law, Nancy Bartaldo. Grandchildren Neil Gardner, Kara Gump (Brian), Bryce Roberts (Arika Michaelis), Andy Harman (Amy), Brian Harman (Katie), Caitlin Slattery (Andrew), Chad Bartaldo, Stephanie Bartaldo, many great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Rose is preceded in death by her husband Carl J. Bartaldo, son Carl Bartaldo, Jr., son in-law Hal Harman, sisters Theresa Duck and Anna Mary Green, and brother James Annarino.
Her family would like to specifically thank the many staff, aides, and nurses who cared for Rose from Oakleaf Village. Especially Allison and Jodi who treated Rose like family, and Cassandra who provided exceptional love and care.
