Rosemary E. Matuszewski

Rosemary E. Matuszewski, age 70, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Toledo Hospital. Rosemary was born November 18, 1943 in Toledo to Charles and Dorothy Kraemer. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and remained an enthusiastic supporter there, often volunteering as a JV basketball scorekeeper. Rosemary also volunteered for Shoo the Flu, WGTE, and the Jamie Farr Golf Classic. She worked for Ohio Bell as a maintenance administrator for 33 years. Sharp-minded and affectionately known as Aunt Rose by many, Rosemary loved spending time outdoors fishing, camping and gardening. She also enjoyed visiting nearby casinos from time to time. Rosemary was a longtime member of St. Clement Catholic Church and was a member and past-president of the Toledo Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Rosemary is survived by her sister, Catherine Tom Krall; brothers, Charles Gerry, Stanley, David Robin Kraemer; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Robin Kraemer. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 pm in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Services will begin on Friday with 11:30 am prayers in the funeral home followed by a 12:00 pm Funeral Mass at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, OH 43613.
