Rosemary Jane Ferenchak, 74, went home to the lord peacefully at home with her husband at her side, on May 22nd, 2025, in Maumee Ohio. Born on February 11th, 1951, in Oak Hill, Ohio, Rosemary carried her rural roots throughout her life.
Rosemary worked 23 years at Merillat industries, a kitchen cabinet plant. She then earned an associate degree in accounting at Rio Grande Community College and went on to work for the Jackson County Job and family services. After moving to the Toledo area with her husband in 2008, Rosemary found employment at a local staffing agency and at a local religious book store. No matter where she was employed, Rosemary radiated a sense of peace manifested by a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that brought joy to all.
Rosemary had the kind of singing voice that carried above all others and was immediately recognizable, especially at church.
Rosemary also played piano. Her entire life was permeated by her love of the Lord and her love of music. This love of the Lord and her love of music became her lifelong signature.
In addition, Rosemary loved her family and was always open and hospitable to all who entered her life. Anyone who met her felt her overwhelming spirit of joy and peace. She wore her love on her sleeve and her joy for life was contagious.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Kiser; her father, Edward Kiser; her brothers, Gerald and Steven Kiser; her sister, Kay Herron; and her daughter, Heather Darnell. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Ferenchak; her son, Gene and Kristy Smith; her brother, Vondon E. Kiser; and her step-daughter, Corriander Ferenchak. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 3 great and step great grandchildren.
Rosemary’s simple faith, love of family and friends and joyful spirit brought great joy to all those who grew to know her. Rosemary valiantly battled dementia for 12 years and served as an inspiration to her husband and to all those who were fortunate enough to know her, even as she carried her cross faithfully and always with the hope of eternal life with the Lord.
