The Sun ‘rose’ on July 3, 1937 and the Sun set on October 1, 2017 for our Beloved Rose. Rose was preceded in death by her husband John Bath, father Glenn Elliott, mother Helen Dowell, brother Robert Elliott, sisters Jeanette Coulter, and Elaine Sharp. Survived by her four devoted daughters Theresa Burgess (Earl), Mary Moulton (Steve), Regina Bakalis, Catherine Nappenbach (Doug); first husband and best friend John J. Ignasiak; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; step children Blair Bath (Mindi), Brian Bath (Carol), and Cheryl Bath; siblings Donald Elliott (Marti), Pam Turner, and John Meyer; and so many treasured family and friends. Rose attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Central Catholic High School. Rose’ working career took her to Food Town, Links Cafeteria, St. Vincent’s Hospital Recovery Room, and Erie Steel. Rose loved spending time with her large family, traveling, and volunteering helping children read at McKinley Elementary, and patient care at St. Anne’s Hospital. Many thanks to Dr. John A. Crayne and to those individuals at Aspen Grove Assisted Living - Lambertville, Kingston in Sylvania, St. Anne’s Hospital, and Franciscan Care Center who gave Rose loving care from their heart. Visitation will Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Roses name may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
