Roselynn Cassaubon, age 78, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Born on January 28, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of Paul and Frances (Marinski) McDowell. She was a graduate of Rossford High School in 1965.
Roselynn brought warmth and kindness wherever she went. She spent her days connecting with others—whether welcoming guests as a devoted usher at the Stranahan Theatre, or greeting travelers during her time working at the Courtyard Hotel. Her generous spirit and friendly nature left a lasting impression.
A passionate explorer at heart, Roselynn found joy in discovering new places and experiencing life to the fullest. One of her favorite memories was going parasailing on a trip, embracing adventure with her signature smile. She also had a deep affection for dogs, always finding comfort and companionship in their loyal presence.
Above all, Roselynn was a devoted and energetic mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her love into every hug, holiday, and heartfelt moment she shared with them. She was especially known for baking her delicious Polish coffee cake—a warm and comforting staple that made any gathering feel like home. She also had strong faith, previously being extremely active in her home parish, Good Shepherd, where she cleaned and taught CCD classes for many years.
Roselynn is survived by her children: Thomas (Cindy) Cassaubon, Cynthia (James) Nelson, Timothy (Karen) Cassaubon, and Rebecca Cassaubon; grandchildren: Shianne Nelson, Andrew Nelson, Ashley Midkiff, Thomas Perkins, Laura Gears, Matthew Cassaubon, and Michael Cassaubon; great-grandchildren: Carson, Zoey, Addyson, Shaelynn, Blake, Ellie, Tommy, and Bennett; siblings: James (Barb) McDowell and Carol Pruss; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
